Bigger, brighter, better {heART Studio June Holiday Workshop Giveaway}

heART Studio has moved!

This is good news for us because the new studio is now located in the northeast area at Charlton Lane, close to Kovan MRT.  That means we don't need to take a 50-min bus ride to and fro for every art lesson but instead, we can bring out the stroller and take the LRT, MRT and then walk. Although the walk can get a little exhausting and consists of either steep slopes or daunting flights of stairs, I still prefer this arrangement because we get to go to Heartland Mall or have Punggol Nasi Lemak for dinner. Woohoo!

Are you interested to take a look at the new heART Studio?

If there is one word to describe it, it is cosy. I love the hand drawn paintings on the walls, the splashes of rainbow, the vibrant classroom interior and of course, all the colourful paintings done by the kids which are proudly hung up. In fact, Angel had her first piece of work displayed too and it just makes me smile to know how much she has achieved since the day art became her only form of enrichment.

Different from previously, the new heART Studio consists of two levels and has a spiral staircase that leads to the basement. The Little Dali classes (for kids aged 3-4) will be conducted on Level 1 while the Little Picasso (for kids 5-6) and Little Van Gogh (for kids 7-12) classes will be in the basement. If you are keen, there are also classes held for adults too, no age limit on that!

If you have little toddlers like mine who like to roam around, although there is a safety gate at the top of the staircase, do take caution and follow them around. Ariel actually loves the new place and sees the staircase as a playground. I like that there is plenty of seating on both levels so that I can find a corner to feed her dinner while the big sister enjoys her art lesson.

There is also a washing area on both levels so that kids can clean up after the class. The only downside is that the washroom is located in the building outside of the studio and anyone who needs to go will have to inform May, the receptionist, who will then dutifully bring every kid there and back.

Alternatively, do what I do and take a 10-15min walk from Kovan MRT.

Students will learn about colour blending and texture painting.

Students will learn abour basic shapes and patterns for windows and buildings, stamping techniques as well as understanding reflections.
Date : 16 Jun 2014 (Monday)
Time: 10:00am-12:00pm
