I like to imagine that I can have a bowl of wanton mee, fried carrot cake or kuay chap for breakfast.
But no, the truth is that happens only in my dreams and our typical breakfast here in Sweden consists of bread, ham, cheese accompanied by a mug of fresh milk.
That said, I am recently trying to make Angel's plate a little more appealing to her.
I'm not really into bentos but these bento tools I found on ebay were way too cute to resist. Angel would help me to decide what shape or animal she wants to 'eat' every morning and letting her get involved probably helps to stimulate her appetite.
If that was Angel's typical breakfast, here's mine.
Ok, not that bad, I usually gobble down everything and then grab a new piece of bread, ham and cheese to go along.
Darling Angel, if it makes you finish everything on your plate with a big wide smile, I definitely wouldn't mind doing this everyday.
Just let me eat a bear or rabbit once in a while, will you?

help Angel say to Great Mummy: "i love u mummy! for gobbling down those 'ugly' leftovers!"
ReplyDeleteHaha, she wouldn't bear to give me her animals, I bet. So I'm destined to eat these. Actually it doesn't matter once in the stomach. =)
Deleteway tooooooo cute to be eaten!
ReplyDeleteGlad you think so! But she gobbles them up instantly! Which is what I was hoping for. =p
DeleteOh my gosh how cute is this! I am soooooooo trying this out with my kiddies. They would love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking this could be a great lunch box idea too.
Cool! I hope you'll have as much fun as I did! Let me know how it turns out! =)
DeleteSo cute. But I can so relate to your breakfast as that's what I have to settle for when I prepare bentos for Sophie too :P
ReplyDeleteYes, haha it might be worse if yours was lunch. =) Not that it matters much when you are starving. =) I should try bentos too!
Deletethis is so cute! and when i look at your plate, i laughed out loud. :P this is parental love. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah put it nicely it's called love. Else wise it's just not to waste food. =) Well, we'll do anything to make our girls eat more, right?
DeleteThis certainly looks wonderful. Great job! Angel must be so thrilled! I hope your day has been going well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy! Yesh she is excited to see her plate every day still! I hope she doesn't get bored of it too soon! I'm having an awesome week, I hope you are too!

Haha you'll be a nice kid to look after. =) She still prefers the ham and cheese over the bread (so do I) and it takes persuasion to make her finish everything on the plate. =)
DeleteYou bet, Kate!
